


Born in Canton, China, raised in Boston, Chris Yen is a rising international action star with a family background in the performing arts and cinema. Daughter of a world renowned martial arts master (and baby sister of Donnie Yen, one of the top box office stars in Asia,) Chris began her training in the arts at the tender age of four. Graduating from Boston College with degrees in Psychology and Business Management, Chris has worked on films in Prague, London, Hong Kong, Japan, Taiwan, mainland China, and U.S. Her first on-screen role was with director Yuen Woo-Ping (The Matrix, Kill Bill, Crouching Tiger). After a special guest appearance on NBC’s The Today Show, Chris came to the attention of Hollywood, and has since acted in a variety of award-winning films, television, and commercial projects. More recently Chris has turned her attention to capitalizing on current trends, working as a Producer to help foster dynamic projects, and build a bridge between US and Asian film markets. Mike Nuell manages Kore8's creative content and oversees the long-term marketing strategy across all media and technology platforms. A graduate of Boston University with degrees in Literature and Mythology, Mike began his professional career in the exciting world of software startups in the 1990’s. When his company eventually merged with the multi-billion dollar VERITAS Software, Mike became one of the youngest Product Managers in company history. He coordinated sales, marketing and R&D, and managed the overall life cycle of a multi-million dollar product line. Capitalizing on the momentum of his successful software career, Mike decided to follow his heart and return to his roots in the field of entertainment media. He eventually landed at Mammoth Advertising in N.Y.C. (www.mammothadvertising.com) where he cut his teeth in the film and video game marketing divisions. Mike is a founding member of Kore 8 Films.

Based in China, educated in the U.K. and U.S., Marvin Tang is the Director of Sales & Marketing for Kore8 Asia Pacific Region and Managing Director of Singular International Group, Asia’s leading manufacturer of high-end merchandise and collectibles for the animation industry. With a background in Mechanical Engineering, Marvin’s experience extends through every stage of merchandising, from licensing to manufacturing to retail. His long-term partnership with Gentle Giant Studios (www.gentlegiantstudios.com) in Burbank, a leading provider in digital and physical 3-D models for the entertainment and consumer goods industry, has led to high-profile franchise projects including Star Wars, Terminator, Alien, Lord of the Rings, Transformers, and Hellboy. Both companies utilize state-of-the-art digital technologies in addition to traditional sculpting techniques, resulting in some of today’s best merchandising products for film, TV, and animation.

Fueled by his addiction to Kung Fu, Asian underground cinema, and video games, Keith Smith (lead vocalist of the band, Anarchy Club,) “walked the earth” for an undisclosed number of years before finally returning to Boston to bring his talents to the video game industry. Keith is a prominent member of Harmonix Music Systems (www.harmonixmusic.com), one of the largest and most successful video game developers in the world, best known as the creators of Rock Band and the original Guitar Hero series. In addition to his role as Kore 8's lead video game designer, Keith also handles all the music.

Jean Lukitsh is the spiritual advisor and general cultural guru for Kore 8 Films. A 30 year student of Wushu grandmaster Bow Sim Mark, Jean is also one of today's leading experts on Chinese Cinema. In additon to her popular Electric Shadows blog at Kung Fu Cinema (www.kungfucinema.com), and her new Dragon Tiger Days column for Jade Screen Magazine (www.screen-power.com), Jean is the programmer for Films at the Gate, Boston's annual summertime outdoor kung fu movie festival.
